I've never done paper-piecing before, and I'm LOVING it!
I have 17 blocks (of 60) done so far... posting 16 of them for now.
This is so much fun!
Now I have a design idea in my head for a future quilt... can't wait to start on it once I finish these. :)

Roll Roll Cotton Boll - Step 2 done
WHOOHOO!! I've completed Step 2 of Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt.
I'm so impressed with these. The contrast between the browns and pinks is amazing.
Now on to Step 3! :)

Roll Roll Cotton Boll - Step 1 done
Well, I've finally finished Step 1 of Bonnie Hunter's newest mystery quilt.
Underneath the pile are my constants, red and green.
I'm so excited!! This is my first mystery quilt... and is going to be my first large quilt!

Gotta love free stuff!
It's absolutely amazing how many companies and people give things away. As a quilter, receiving free fabrics, be they strips, fat quarters or squares of beautiful fabrics is the best.
Here's a link to the newest one I've found:
Strandz - Allison Anderson
She has some beautiful charm squares to give away!
I'm definitely going to enter to try and win them. :)

First Post
Well, this is my first post. Here anyways. Why have I started a blog here? Mostly because as I've been getting back into quilting, I've noticed that most of the people in the quilt group use this medium.
I like the format and easily changeable layouts.
It's been about 20 years since I've done any quilting. My first projects were a bear paw table centerpiece and an attic window wall quilt. Oh, and a kingsize bed quilt that was pieced but never assembled and quilted. I'll figure out later how to post pictures of them.
Now that I've started again I have about 6 projects on the go. I've listed those in my UFO section. Given the enormous amount of information now available, web sites and tutorials and free patterns on the net, I have about a dozen others that I want to do.
Enough for now.. have to get some work done so I can spend some time quilting this afternoon and evening.
