My Journey as an Ex-Smoker

It's been a little over 2 weeks now (quit date was Feb 17/15).

The Cancer Society's website for the smokershelpline list my stats today as:

My Mileage
Smoke-Free Days: 15
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 210
Amount Saved: $79.80
Life Gained:  Days: 1 Hrs: 16 Mins: 9 Seconds: 37

That's impressive.  I'm happy and proud of myself.. and don't plan on going back to being a smoker.

  2. Hi there - I'm visiting from Chantal's blog - and am an ex-smoker myself - ten years now. CONGRATULATIONS - you CAN do it!!! I woke up one morning and wondered how long I could go without a cigarette. I made myself two rules - #1 - I could have a cigarette anytime I wanted (and carried an open pack in my purse for over a year) - BUT - #2 - If I had a cigarette - I would have to start over counting the days. When I hit 1 day without a cigarette - then 2 days - then 3 days - then 1 week - then 2 weeks - then 1 month - it became easier and easier to resist the temptation - I REALLY didn't want to have to start over counting the days - ;)) And CONGRATULATIONS on being nominated for the Lovely Blog Award - ;))
